How to Enable Private Mode in Galaxy Note 4

How to Enable Private Mode in Galaxy Note 4

In this tutorial, I'll discuss one of the security features that Samsung added to your Galaxy Note 4,which is the Private Mode. Through this mode, you can simply hide some of your important files like: photos, videos, recordings and other data that you don't want to be accessed by someone. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, touch the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap Private Mode.
  4. Tap Next.
  5. Read the Disclaimer if you want and then tap Next.
  6. Review the information on the screen to know how to set privacy status for your files and then touch start.
  7. Before you can hide your files, you need to setup your unlock method first. You may choose Pattern, PIN, Password or Fingerprint. For this example, let's use PIN.
  8. Enter your PIN and tap Continue.
  9. Re-enter your PIN to confirm it, then tap OK.
  10. Now that Private Mode is properly setup and turned on, you may start moving files to private directory.
  11. For example, you may open Gallery and choose albums or photos you want to keep private.
  12. Once you've selected files, tap the More options icon at the upper right corner and choose Move to Private.
  13. Turn off Private Mode once you've finished moving files to make sure others can't view them if given access to your phone.
